Masha is a co-founder of Human Collective, with the first project being a feature documentary, 'Latvia Myth' - a cinematic exploration of how culture and tradition not only shape our past but guide our future. By documenting nature-oriented celebrations, rituals, diverse collective practices, and personal stories, the film reminds us of the power of heritage in a rapidly changing world, delving into how these traditional practices have shaped the nation over thousands of years and exploring what it really means to belong.
The film poses a timely question:
How can our diverse cultural identities and experiences root us and unite people on a global scale?
The documentation ranges from local introspection to an international overview led by the most celebrated custodians of traditions, experts, and the global diaspora collectives.
IMBD
HUMAN COLLECTIVE.
Human Collective - a creative agency committed to empowering communities through storytelling.
We make films that inspire love for humanity.
Focusing on preserving and celebrating cultural legacies, documentary film is a medium that allows us to foster cross-cultural understanding and advocate for indigenous traditions while inspiring the long-term sustainability of contemporary communities by demonstrating how inherently these two worlds communicate.
Through our media, we aim to ensure the enduring richness of our collective heritage for generations to come.

To extend the impact of the films, Human Collective started to publish articles through Fading Cultures Magazine. In collaboration with custodians of tradition, Masha Segal and Agnese Abolina have been gathering research on traditions and practices in short and accessible forms that provide access to insights otherwise very challenging to access online.
In 2026, Human Collective will be hosting cultural events and exhibitions. More information to come
