Aside from this initiative, I developed design visions for numerous public space proposals, curated exhibitions, festivals, and small-scale events, and created spaces to honour the craft of independent landworkers.

Today, in short, I guess I can frame myself as an interdisciplinary artist and cultural curator working across placemaking/ site activation, event production and curation, and filmmaking.

Across all forms, my practice seeks to foster spaces of cultural continuity, communion, and reflection, celebrating local ecological, material, and spiritual wealth.

Born in Latvia, I partly grew up in Spain, where I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB). I then moved to the UK, where I studied Liberal Arts at the University of Nottingham and Business Administration at Hult International Business School, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, with a thesis focused on placemaking and the design of public spaces.

Alongside my studies, I worked in diverse environments and research projects, ranging from algae biofuel production to co-creating theatre in remote environments of countries like Ecuador and Slovenia.

I am also classically trained in music, and my love for sound drove me to explore the sonic realms through field recordings and composition. This path found its realisation in documentary film as a sound recordist and composer, and soon after, creative director, producer, and filmmaker.

Since 2023, I've been the co-founder and project manager of Human Collective, a creative agency and documentary film production company based in London.

As a documentary filmmaker, my work reflects a deep commitment to honoring living traditions, focusing on land-based practices, material processes, and artists and communities whose knowledge and ways of making are shaped through close, enduring relationships with the natural environment.

Over time, the principles of critical placemaking and holistic design became central to my inspiration, leading me to deepen my relationship with placemaking. When filming the feature documentary Latvian Myth, I faced a personal inquiry about ways to extend the film's impact, the indigenous wisdom of the land, something we as a film crew were able to deeply immerse into throughout the four years of filming, into a lived experience. As such, I started to explore ways to create environments that enable one to embody alternative ways of knowing. This led me to develop my first independent placemaking site in London titled Sense Ability.

Let's stay connected and explore how we can build bridges together
