Human Collective's Osaka Expo Concept Proof
In the summer of 2024, Human Collective was invited to apply for the honor of representing Latvia and Lithuania at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka through the design of a shared pavilion. This prestigious offer presented a rare opportunity to translate years of research into the rich traditions of both countries into a compelling, immersive experience, brought to life through the artistry of architecture and spatial design.

Following the film's completion, the team aims to adapt and expand this knowledge into other immersive mediums, enriching the depth and reach of the story it tells.

Concept Brief
Inspired by Baltic the sun calendar, this concept invites audiences to reconnect with the natural cycles that shape the Baltic lands. Each transitional phase of the calendar, steeped in tradition and marked by unique celebrations and rituals, comes to life, offering a profound exploration of nature's rhythm and its cultural significance. This experience provides a profound insight into age-old traditions, highlighting their enduring relevance to the country's vision for a sustainable future - socially, economically, ecologically, and culturally.
